本草 Materia medica
三味药，三种性子。
Three herbs, three temperaments.
站名里的三味：连翘、蒲公英、白花蛇舌草。都走清热这条路，脾气却各不相同。刚才路过的药圃里，三味药各自长着——点一下，可以拿起来看。
The three in this site's name — forsythia, dandelion, hedyotis — all clear heat, each in its own temper. In the garden you just passed, each of them grows; click one to pick it up and turn it over.

连翘 Forsythia suspensa
苦，微寒 · 归肺、心、小肠经
Bitter, slightly cold · Lung, Heart, Small Intestine
清热解毒，消肿散结，疏散风热。疮家圣药。
Clears heat and resolves toxicity, reduces swelling and dissipates nodules — the sovereign herb for sores.

蒲公英 Taraxacum mongolicum
苦、甘，寒 · 归肝、胃经
Bitter, sweet, cold · Liver, Stomach
清热解毒，消肿散结，利湿通淋。乳痈要药。
Clears heat and toxicity, drains dampness — the first choice for acute mastitis.

微苦、甘，寒 · 归胃、大肠、小肠经
Slightly bitter, sweet, cold · Stomach, Large and Small Intestine
清热解毒，利湿通淋，兼解蛇毒。
